Student Connect establishes meaningful peer-to-peer and instructor-to-student relationships to support conversational English. Volunteer instructors engage students in discussions about school, books, and everyday life—helping them build confidence and fluency.
In 2024 and 2025, Student Connect expanded to support refugee families in Central Texas and ESOL students at Austin Community College (ACC) through a dedicated volunteer program. With more than 40 volunteers, we provided daily practice sessions for over 300 students whose primary language is not English.
Today, Student Connect reaches learners from countries around the world, and we are scaling our 1:1 tutoring model wherever English is a second language.
Artists Connect is where creativity meets compassion. The initiative provides a platform for artists to showcase their work and share their stories—while transforming art into action.
Proceeds from sales directly supporting individuals who are exiting homeless by funding housing and resources. Some artwork also finds a permanent home, bringing beauty and belonging to residents’ lives.
Artists Connect not only uplifts communities overcoming homelessness but also ensures that artists benefit through visibility and recognition. By connecting creativity and compassion, Artists Connect builds belonging and bridges communities—one piece of art at a time.
Our Mentorship Programs connect students and young professionals with industry experts for career guidance, professional growth, and leadership development. Through partnerships with nonprofits, schools, and organizations, we create pathways that inspire and prepare participants for their futures.
In 2023, our mentors partnered with Dress for Success Central Texas to support women re-entering the workforce through coaching and job readiness.
In Summer 2024 and Summer 2025, we supported the City of Austin Summer Youth Programs, providing mentors and scholarships to help over 300 interns develop leadership skills and access new opportunities.
These experiences reflect our commitment to building confidence, professional skills, and long-term success for underrepresented communities.
Classroom Connect partners directly with schools to improve literacy and pronunciation for English learners. Research shows that listening while reading accelerates language learning, so we record textbooks and chapter books—like the Magic Tree House series—for middle and high school students.
These free audio resources, available on YouTube, allow students to read along and hear correct pronunciation. For students whose primary language is not English, Classroom Connect provides a support system for reading and speaking practice, empowering them with the tools to succeed.
